  2. Tap “Export Strong Data”.
  3. Save the CSV file to your phone.
  4. In FitProject, open your Profile and tap “Import from another app”, under Data & Account.

  6. Check the preview and the exercise matches, then start the import.

What gets imported

What is not imported

How exercise names are matched

FitProject matches each exercise name in your file to its own library of 1,319 exercises. Confident matches are applied automatically. Uncertain ones are shown for you to confirm or change, and names with no match can be matched by hand or skipped. Your choices are remembered for the next import.

Preview, duplicates and undo

Before anything is saved you see a preview with the number of workouts, exercises and sets, and the date range. Workouts within an hour of one you already logged can be skipped. Importing the same file again updates the workouts it imported instead of duplicating them. After the import you can undo it, which removes the imported workouts from your history.

Weight units

Strong's export does not say which unit its weights are in. FitProject works it out from the values and asks you to confirm kg or lb on the preview screen.

Questions about importing

How do I export my workouts from Strong?

In Strong, open Profile, then Settings, and tap “Export Strong Data”. Strong creates a CSV file that you save to your phone.

What data does FitProject import from Strong?

Workouts with their date and duration, exercises, sets with reps and weight or time, warm-up sets, effort (RPE converted to Reps in Reserve) and exercise notes.

What is not imported?

Cardio exercises and distance are left out because FitProject does not track cardio. Superset grouping, drop-set labels, workout titles and workout-level notes are not kept.

What happens when an exercise name doesn't match?

You decide. FitProject shows uncertain matches for review and lets you search its library for the right exercise, or skip that exercise. Sets from skipped exercises are not imported.

Will importing twice create duplicates?

No. Importing the same file again updates the workouts it imported before. Workouts that overlap ones you already logged in FitProject can be skipped.

Can I undo an import?

Yes. After an import, “Undo this import” removes the workouts it added from your history.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The CSV file is read and processed on your phone. FitProject has no server and no account.

Are weights imported in kg or lb?

In the unit of your file. Strong's export doesn't state the unit, so FitProject infers it from the values and asks you to confirm.

How is RPE handled?

FitProject tracks effort as Reps in Reserve (RIR). RPE is converted (RIR = 10 − RPE), sets taken to failure become RIR 0, and sets without an effort rating get 2 reps in reserve.

Does importing cost anything?

No. Importing is free, like the rest of FitProject. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase.
